THE ROLE

We are hiring a Warehouse & Inventory Operative to support the day-to-day physical warehouse and inventory workload. Reporting to the Order Fulfilment & Warehouse Manager, this is a full-time, hands-on operational role supporting stock receipt, stock accuracy, store transfers and wider warehouse activity.

WORKING PATTERN / LOCATION

London warehouse-based role. The role requires regular warehouse presence and may occasionally require early starts or adjusted hours around deliveries, stock movements, warehouse stocktakes or urgent operational needs.

Occasional weekend or bank-holiday shifts may be required during exceptional peak periods, major deliveries or operational needs, with advance notice where reasonably possible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive inbound deliveries and check quantities, condition and paperwork.

• Escalate delivery, quantity, condition or stock discrepancies clearly and promptly.

• Carry out QC, preparation and polybagging as required.

• Put stock away accurately and maintain warehouse / bin / location organisation.

• Use scanners, spreadsheets and inventory systems accurately.

• Participate in warehouse stocktakes, recounts and stock-location checks as required.

• Support physical stock accuracy through cycle counts and discrepancy investigation.

• Process faulty or damaged stock as directed.

• Pick store orders and prepare warehouse-to-store transfers accurately and on time.

• Pick and dispatch approved urgent store stock requests / transfers accurately and promptly.

• Ensure unidentified, untagged or incorrectly labelled stock is surfaced and resolved rather than repeatedly carried forward.

• Help ensure stock does not sit unnecessarily unavailable to trade.

• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.

• Support ecommerce pick / pack / dispatch during peaks, leave or operational need, under the direction of the Order Fulfilment & Warehouse Manager or Ecommerce Fulfilment & Customer Service Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for someone with experience of:

• warehouse, stockroom, inventory, logistics or operations experience;

• receiving and checking stock;

• accuracy with quantities, locations and physical stock movement;

• using scanners, spreadsheets, inventory systems or warehouse tools;

• cycle counts, stock checks or discrepancy investigation;

• faulty, damaged or unsellable stock handling;

• picking, packing, transfers or outbound stock preparation;

• working to deadlines that affect stores, customers or trade.

You should be practical, accurate, reliable, physically comfortable with warehouse work, technically confident enough to use systems properly and show strong initiative.
